Ed's experiences and successes in fly fishing and tying are broader than most including trout, bass, panfish, and a variety of saltwater.

Ed ties flies for a wide variety fish, does some custom commercial tying, and has been published in a number of journals. He is on the prostaff for Gudebrod, and an FFF Certified Casting Instructor. Ed has also been invited to tie at the past seven Federation of Fly Fishers International Conclaves, fly shows in Holland, Denmark, France, and Chatsworth England.

Sitting down at Noel's Box to create new patterns or share a new technique is a favorite pastime.

In the summer of '99 he had a chance to visit with another angling friend in Missouri on his way back from the FFF Conclave in Gatlinburg, TN.

Ed never being one to limit himself when it comes to fly fishing, ventured into new waters with Doug Farthing, Camdenton, MO, and hooked this 16 lb. Channel Cat. It sure is amazing what can be done with a Wooly Bugger from Noel's Box. Some of you may recognize Ed from the fly casting ponds at ISE San Mateo, the Fort Shockley booth , Federation Conclave and European fly shows, or the patterns that he has contributed to the Patterns of the Masters.

Ed would be pleased to respond to your questions Fort Shockley workstations as well as tying and fishing techniques.
